This is where, for example, Carola rose to fame with “Främling” in the 1983 Eurovision Song Contest selection, and where legendary performers such as Jussi Björling, Alice Babs, and Laurel and Hardy (Helan och Halvan) have all taken to the stage. Following a renovation, the building was reopened in 2004 as a venue dedicated to music and dance. Today, its activities continue under the direction of cultural event organiser Next Events. Much of the original interior has been preserved to this day, including the impressive crystal chandeliers, ceiling paintings, and the magnificent Golden Foyer. This is the perfect experience for anyone looking to combine culture, history, and architecture in a truly unique Malmö setting.
