DOUBLE-BILL TICKETS (S.T.U.C.K. + INFINÉTUDE) Regular: SEK 300 Supporter: SEK 250 Student / Senior / Under 26: SEK 200 Alma Söderberg is known for her intricate interplay between movement and rhythm. Her work brings together metrical thinking and physical emotionality, showing that the two need not exclude one another. The result is a form of resonant, rhythmically driven dance-suggestive, playful and infused with a touch of humour. In Infinétude, Alma Söderberg draws inspiration from her first love in dance and an enduring source of inspiration: flamenco. A dance form with a unique ability to delve into and play with profound emotions. Here, joy, sorrow, happiness, rebellion and desperation are embodied as the dancers move through constantly shifting rhythmic patterns, responding sensitively to one another and to the music. In Infinétude, joy is heightened through syncopation-a displacement of the emphasis within a measure, placing the accent in an unexpected place. Sorrow resonates in the voice, anger is embodied in movement, and resistance is woven into a melody. Moving in and out of different rhythms, the group progresses together, developing a shared ability to listen, respond, dance, sing and think as one. Alma Söderberg brings these experiences and approaches into her work on Infinétude-her largest self-produced work to date. Together with five phenomenal artists from the contemporary European dance scene, she explores music, dance, form and pattern-making in relation to emotion, healing and resistance-embracing both joy and sorrow.
