They quickly won over the Swedish public, and that same autumn the duo completed a sold-out Swedish tour, Under One Roof, together with Chris Kläfford. Tennessee Tears, consisting of Tilda Feuk and Jonas Hermansson, is a Swedish country duo. It all began through a songwriting collaboration with Billy Burnette (Fleetwood Mac) in Nashville, and since then they have returned there several times to write and record music. The duo has collaborated with musicians such as Dave Roe (Johnny Cash), Michael Rhodes (Emmylou Harris, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum), and Ben Sesar (Brad Paisley). They have also been praised by Billy Burnette, who says: “This marriage between Nashville and Sweden is gonna be a real eye-opener for people.” This autumn, they embark on The Ashes & Embers Tour in connection with the release of their new album Ashes & Embers. The album Ashes & Embers was recorded and mixed in the heart of country music—Nashville. The record is produced by Tennessee Tears themselves together with André Kristiansson and captures the raw, honest energy that has become their signature—where modern Nashville influences meet Nordic storytelling. “For us, this album is a rebirth—hence the name Ashes & Embers. We feel that we dare to explore new things while also finding our way back to our roots, where we once began. The album is exactly what we want our music to be—a journey that captures the essence of modern Nashville country with a Nordic twist. We feel like we’ve found home, and that this is just the beginning,” say Jonas & Tilda of Tennessee Tears.
